Sadly, due to a lack of funds I've had to close my premium cafepress shop. I'm now starting from scratch and will be reintroducing all of my designs which will be featured in their own basic shops.

The very first new shop is now open and ready for visitors. You can visit it at...

NotGoodItEvil

You can also visit this store by clicking on any of the teaser pictures below. There are plenty more items with this design in my shop (i.e. women's clothes, stickers, kids clothes, household items etc) so if you like this word art please feel free to make a stop at this store.

As I add new stores I'll make more advertising posts so that you can see the designs and decide if you'd like to visit them.
LOL! My subject just made me giggle.

I was soooo sad about the photos the other day that I totally forgot to tell everyone (or will tell everyone once they realize I've moved again) that I found a magic spot at Fountain View. As soon as I stepped in (after pushing and pulling on the door like a moron and then realized I had to type in a code--which I'll get to in a second) and stood on the magic spot Madeline (one of my Mom's friends whom I nor my Mom has seen in a couple of years) comes around the corner. We hugged and chatted for a few minutes and then she went to work and I went to fill out my application.

I finished filling out my application and went to look at the birds they have there. My bird watching was finished and I turned to go. As soon as I stepped into the spot Rickie (my old Boss first boss from Aero) walks around the corner. We did the customary "OH MY GOD! How long's it been!" squeals and then hugged. I walked outside with her and we talked by her pickup (which ironically was parked directly across from my Mom's van). We chatted about life and such and then after saying we should get together we had to part ways. I think I will call her. I need to get some friends who live in my zip code or close to it lol.

Last night I started my new anti-depressant/anxiety drug therapy. As I stated before I'm taking Effexor XR and Xanax. There's really not much to update on yet (I mean come on I've only taken them for less than twenty-four hours), but unfortunately I'm apparently going to have to deal with the dizziness, general out of it type stuff, and being sleepy until I get up to the full strength and my body gets used to it. It's nothing to worry about. My body just reacts weirdly whenever I have to take prescription meds.

Love to all,

~Amber

P.S. I'll make new icons soon.

My Mom called today telling me that she was able to get me an appointment with Dr. Umalu (spelling probably wrong). She called about an hour and a half before my granparents came to get me. I immediately got an upset stomach and felt like vomiting, but that was all just my nerves. When I arrived I was taken back to the little room right away (a benefit of having a mother who's a nurse working at the place your being seen). I was on edge and my blood pressure was really high both times Phylis (again the spelling is probably wrong) took it. She and Mom are really good friends and doctor Umalu is really nice so I feel comfortable around them, I just get nervous being in new environments. After a little wait I talked to Dr. Umalu for a few minutes and he decided to put me on EFFEXOR XR and Xanax to see if they'll help with my major depression and anxiety. If they don't work he said he's going to put me on Wellbutrin. It was really nice of him to see me. I don't have insurance and I can't pay him. I have a feeling though that my Mom offered to give him a few computer lessons for free. She tutors him about twice a month because he needs to be able to use a computer efficently in order to take some doctor test that's coming up. Maybe she didn't, but either way I still feel bad about being such trouble. If these pills help though it'll be worth it. Dr. Umalu also said that after we get my anxiety and depression under control he'll probably have me take some water pills and then possibly some thyroid medicine because my thyroid still appears to be on the sluggish side. I hope these medicines work.

As per Mom's request I have put in an application for housekeeping at Fountain View. Maybe they'll call me back this time around. It's a pretty laid-back environment which is what I need. It's also fairly close to home so my not having a car won't be a problem.

The ruined photos has really put a damper on my day. I wasn't going to post about them again, but I can't help thinking that if I had known the film was useless I wouldn't have wasted my time. I didn't even really have the money. I'm past due on most of my bills, but I know that as film ages it has a bigger chance of being ruined. I've had mine just sitting there for a few years and it was too the point of now or never. If I had photoshop I'd try and salvage the photos.

*walks off feeling remorseful*

<lj:music>the music that resides in my head</lj:music>

Well today I overslept and just barely made it to my Theatre class in time. I shouldn't have though since I've gotten PLENTY of sleep these past couple of days. Sleep is good, and with all the sleep I've gotten I feel as if I could stay up for a month. *yawns* I was in a terrible mood the other day. Jealously was part of the reason. I won't tell anyone why I was jealous for two reasons. 1. It was petty. and 2. I honestly don't know why I was jealous. The other reason was well...oh nevermind. Its not important.

As for the rest of my life this week, I watched the entire Vampire Princess Miyu series in the span of 3 nights. Now I'm watching Angelic layer and I suspect that I'll have this series under my belt before the end of the weekend. ^_~

This weekend is gonna be hell. Well maybe not. depends on whether or not I do my work. ^_~ I have to type a 6-10 page paper for my health class. This really irks me since before it was supposed to me 2-3 pages and now she ups the amount. GGGRRRRrrrr. Shouldn't be too bad since the subject is me and my health. I should know enough about me to write a damn book. I just don't want to write about me. Tis all.

I can't wait until Thanksgiving break. Four days with no school. YES!

I hope I did good on my math test. If I got an 'A' I think I'll be able to skip the final. <lj:music>Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets- BGM</lj:music>

AAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!! Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets kicks major booty!!! I'm talkin' MAJOR ass. We went to the 4:40pm showing of it yesterday and it was BEAUTIFUL. I almost cried I was so happy. God I love Tom Marvolo Riddle. *swoons* Lucius is gorgeous. Harry and Ron are great and even Draco was very becoming. Rawr. *purrs*

We all dressed up as Harry Potter characters. I went as Severus Snape, Meri-chan went as Draco Malfoy (she looked awesome), and Elokin went as Moaning Myrtle (she looked great). We all kicked ass. One lady dressed up as Professor McGonagall and at the end of the movie she looked up at Melian and shouted "Better luck next time, Draco!" ^___^

After the movie Meri-chan dropped me off at the theatre building because we were running late and I had to see "Into the Woods". I had to dash across the street and run into the building because they were closing the doors. I made it just in time. Well the musical was very good, but nothing compares to Harry Potter. ^___^

Today Meri-chan, Elokin, and I got to go to the Coca-cola special screening of Harry Potter. It was great. I got to see my movie two times in two days thanks to Elokin yesterday (and Meri-chan for driving) and Elokin's mom today. YAY!!!

I dressed up again for this viewing except this time I went as Harry Potter. After the movie Melian said that there was a little girl in the bathroom who said to her mom "There's a girl outside in a cape (ME! ^_^) I think she's Professor Snape!" Hee hee I don't think she saw my face, but tis cool. I love little kids.

Today I was in another one of Meri-chan's movies. The poor bunny hates me now cause I had to drag him across the floor. He'll forgive me.

Oh and this girl in the dorm thought that my scar was real. Hehehe what a wonderful thing the magic of permanent sharpie markers and a sadistic mind can do. ^_~

I can't wait to see Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets again...and again...and again...and again...and again...and again...and again...and...

I spend most of it studying. I am proud to say that I am now caught up with my Latin class. So yay!!! I still have to get up early to write out flashcards to study with though. I'd write them now, but my hand told me that if I write any more it'll kill me and since I can't have my hand running around without me...I have to rise with the birds. At least I'm caught up though. I learned something. You should always stay with your class even when you miss (and you shouldn't miss) cause catching up is a major pain in the hand as well as the ass.

I'm sorry I missed you Elokin, but you'll be proud to know that I studied almost the entire time that I was gone...minus a couple of bathroom and water breaks. Me eyes are tired. Probably why the damn screen keeps blurring...LOL. Hope you had a good day. ^_^

Meri-chan I hope you had a good day as well. I also hope that your feet stop being swollen. Tell them that I forbid it. They must heal so that you don't have to be in pain. Poor you.

Houki I want more cookies. And a can of frosting to dip them in. Nummy. Maybe I'll splurge and buy frosting and cookies. mmmmmm. Hope that you did good on your math test. Oh and I wanna see Yami No Matsuei. If it has a vampire in it then I am so there. Vampires. *blissful sigh*

Everyone else I hope y'all are doing okay.
Well I had fun this weekend. We (Meri-chan, Houki, Elokin, and I) went to American Cafe to eat friday night. We shared some appetizers curtesy of Elokin and Houki (Meri-chan and I didn't have enough). Thank You Elokin and Houki for sharing. I love you both. For the main course Meri-chan and I split a portabello mushroom pizza. It was SO good. I've ordered it every time I've gone there. Thanks Meri-chan for introducing it to me so many moons ago. I luv ya Meri-chan. Now however we have to special order it because its no longer on the menu. Don't know why cause its so good you'll eat it all down to the last crumb. Yup yup yup.

After we filled up our tummies we went on the hunt for mini discs for Meri-chan. We went to Target but they were closed, so Meri-chan had to drive us to Wally World a.k.a. Wal-Mart. Meri-chan and her awesome driving skills...you're great mon amie.

Meri-chan got her discs (I wanna mini-disc player...et toi?), Elokin got Spiderman (can't wait to see it), Houki bought the Close Encounters of a Third Kind dvd (I wanna see this too), and I bought the Interview With the Vampire dvd.

After arriving home Meri-chan and I walked to Richardson Towers to drop off the disks to the girl that she co-bought the discs with. She wasn't there so we mosied on back to the dorm. Where we all had a good time. I hope. I know I was a bit cranky so I hope I didn't spoil anyone's mood.

Oh and Houki brought over some of her yummy cake mix cookies. They are SO good!!! I wanna learn how to make them. Two Thumbs up Houki.

Today I slept in, pilliassed around, and after awhile started to tackle my Latin. I've taken more breaks than I should have. I'm only three or four hours behind now. I think. I hope. Uh hopefully this includes what I have to do for class monday, and the memorizing that I need to do which includes making more flashcards.

On a side note there's only 6 more days till Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets!!!

Just a quick update to say that the hot water is out once again at Rawls. What does a person have to do around here to take a hot shower? Build a bonfire in her room to heat the water to a scalding temperature? Believe me I'd try it if it wasn't for the rule about fires. Hmmm then again it only says no candles and no incense...I don't recall anything about bonfires being against the rules. *goes off to find things to burn*

*sniff* I couldn't find anything except trees and I don't want to chop one down. Guess I'll just have to wait for the water to come back on. Although, if its not back on by tomorrow I'm either going to go to Smith Hall to use their showers, or I'll beg Dorothy to let me use her shower.
Not much to report today. I got up at the butt crack of dawn (okay it was almost seven) and stayed up (quite a feat) to do my latin homework. I even went to my classroom two hours early just so I wouldn't fall back asleep.

After Latin I went to math where she still didn't have all our tests graded. She said we could call her this weekend to find out if we wanted so I think that's what I'll do.

As soon as math was over I ran over to the Smith lab to see if there was a computer open, but they were all taken. Damn.

On the way back to the dorm I met up with Melvin (a guy in my Latin class) and we talked for about an hour and a half on various subjects.

Melvin left to go to a step show of his fraternity brothers and I checked my email before coming here to go on-line and type this.

A boring day, but I'm content.

One more thing...

Only 7 more days till the magic of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets comes to a theatre near you.

<marquee>SEVEN MORE DAYS!!!
Well the hot water is STILL not working in this dorm. I just wanna take a nice long hot shower. Is that so much to ask? These damn maintenance people must be new or have very little experience in repairing things because this is the second time in a week that the hot water has not worked. They need to fix it properly. I feel so disgusting and dirty. I wanna take a shower nnnnnoooooowwwwwwww!!!

As for classes today...yes I did go to all of them.
My Latin teacher got mad at our class because during one exercise she asked us to find the dative case and we all stared back at her blankly. After about five minutes of her asking us over and over "Who can find the dative?" We told her that we hadn't learned the dative case yet. She was like "Oh. Well that explains it." and then commenced to teach it to us...rather briefly I might add. Indirect objects gave me hell in English. They are gonna kill me in Latin. I still can't tell the difference between an indirect object and a direct object in a sentence in english. I foresee many manywoes in my future.

As for math class, it was boring as usual. She didn't have our tests graded yet so I'll have to wait a couple of more days to find out my grade. *hopes for an 'A'* At the end of class she asked us "Okay would you rather do problem 48, 72, or go home?" We all shouted "GO HOME!!!" She was like "okay...I'm not offended!!!" and she let us go ten minutes early. Tis a good thing cause I couldn't stop yawning. *yawns*

I talked to my brother Jeremy last night. He is doing good and he is glad that my mom is engaged.

I...am...so...hungry. I don't want to eat mac and cheese again. Waaaaah!!! Maybe I'll order something and hope that my lil bro puts money into my account by the end of the week. Yea I think that's what I'll do unless I find food lying around.

Only 9 more days till Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets swoops into theatres.

<lj:music>chit chatting invaded my hearing, but now all is silent</lj:music>

Well I figured out how to put smileys on my journal. All I had to do was type in the html by hand since it wouldn't let me copy it and then copy that and change what needed to be changed in order to change the smileys. I so proud of meself. I rock. Yay.

Oh and right now I am in the adult student associations little get together room and using their computer. This one guy from my theatre class was here and he came up to me and started to talk to me. He sort of reminds me of a narly surfer dude type. Wow I'm not as invisible as I thought. *sniff* Even though I don't want to date any guys I still want them to want me. I want to be desired. I want someone to find me attractive. Dammit is that so much to ask?

*sighs* I overslept once again today.
I was twenty minutes late to my theatre class today. He didn't say anything about my being late so that's good. I hope. I did get my paper back from him and I got a 92%. That's great! I was so worried about it.
What the hell is wrong with me? Why can't I be a good freakin student and go to class and do my homework? Why am I so FUCKING lazy. I am so pissed off at myself right now.

So pissed in fact that I just want to rip up all my textbooks and say "I quit." Obviously I wasn't cut out for college because I can't motivate myself to do anything. I just don't care. Why can't I be a good student? Why don't I care more about my future? Why can't I get motivated and stay there? Everytime I decide to buckle down I get bored and end up taking a nap instead of doing my homework which is why I am so far behind in my Latin class. *sighs*

On a happy note...yesterday was my brother Jeremy's 21st birthday. SO HAPPY BIRTHDAY to him. I really hope that he enjoyed his day. *throws birthday confetti* I tried to call him but he was out partying with his friends. I'll call him tonight.

On another note Carrie was a very VERY good movie. It kicked ass. I loved the ending. Gonna buy it on dvd if they ever decide to release it. I still want the new version of The Shining on dvd, but I don't think that it exists on dvd or video. Well as far as I know they don't.

The Harry Potter count down has begun...only 10 more days to go until Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets comes to a theatre near you. I can't wait. I'm so excited!!! I think I'll dress up in costume for the movie.

    <lj:music>The sad sighs of failure...</lj:music>

Well after I studied my ass off for my math test...*ass plops to ground*See? there it went. Could somebody please glue it back on for me? Its kinda hard to sit on this chair without a butt. ^_^...I decided to take a little nap. I woke up in time to make sure that Elokin was up (she was cause she isn't like me when it comes to alarms. *L*) and then after she left I fell back asleep after quite awhile of restless turning.

I meant to go get help with a couple of math problems during my Latin class, but I overslept and I only had time to run to my math class to start the test. Okay I didn't run per se, I just walked faster than normal.

When I got to my classroom my teacher let me take a desk out into the hall so that I could take the test there. Yay. ^_^

At first, I was nervous because I didn't have time to get help this morning cause I decided to slumber away my precious time. After awhile I realized that I knew how to do everything and the test went by like a nice cool gentle breeze.

I handed in my test...brought in my chair...and my teacher started exclaiming how she thought I did wonderful on the test. "You got the hardest one right" she exclaimed in surprise "I don't know about the other problems, but as far as I can see your test looks great." *beams proudly* Let's hope that she was right about the rest of my test being right. *crosses fingers*

I even got the bonus right. It was...Which of these does Santa say? HO3 OR (HO)3?

Since I still had plenty of time left I even gave her the reason why. The correct answer was (HO)3 because if it had been the other one he would have said HOOO instead of HO HO HO. BUT in actuality if he went by the problem (HO)3 he really would have been saying HHHOOO and not HO HO HO. Yeah I was having a super brain attack at the time. They rarely come so I thought that I would use my rare and seldom used powers of understanding math. Heh.

As for Latin I missed class. UGH. Slept through it. Double UGH. I was going to go to her later class and was halfway there when I realized that her later class is mythology NOT Latin. DAMMIT. Now I have to punish myself tomorrow after class and spend most of the rest of the day doing Latin and most likely wednesday night, and thursday afternoon and evening as well as friday after class. I'm going to catch up to the class and study beyond what they are learning as part of my self punishment. I don't wanna have to do all that extra work. *sniff* Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh!!! *cries* Oh well I deserve it for sleeping in. Meri-chan your alarm is a godsend because it woke me up just in time to run to my math class for the test. Kiss it for me. *sighs*

I did do good on my math test so that should count for something i.e. I won't fail the class if I do good on the other two tests and I'll get to stay at the U of M.

Now I must go and read the posts that Meri-chan and Elokin have left on yahoo groups. And if I feel like it I'll post too. ^_^

Well I had a very good weekend after my initial jealousy wore away. I swear this time of the month makes me very emotional. I'm glad that you went and had a good time Meri-chan and Houki-chan. I'm happy that you won Rei-chan and Emi-chan. As for me I guess I should say that I spent a greater part of the weekend in bed. Especially today ne Loki-chan and Meri-chan? Gomen I just didn't feel like doing anything. I have a math test this morning so I REALLY need to study for it. Hey you know me and my mean procrastination skills. LOL. And yes I will do my Latin too. *L* *looks to the right at Elokin who is typing on the computer next to her* I just may have to skip Latin tomorrow to study for math...

"What are you talking about? Me skip Latin? Hee like that'd ever happen." *nose grows longer as she siddles away*

No no I won't skip. Besides even if I did I'd have to spend an entire weekend doing nothing but Latin and if ya couldn't tell I don't have a very long attention span. Plus, it takes me quite awhile to get motivated to do any homework. I swear I'll go to class cause if I don't...its gonna be a LONG weekend with me whining. Sorry can't help it I hate doing work. I be lazy. I'll go!!!

Heeha don'tcha just love my self motivational speeches? ^__^;

Right now I be in the library 'puter lab w/Elokin who is slaving over the keyboard of her computer typing a paper while I'm putting off doing my homework and surfing the net. I get sidetracked easily by the lure of the magnetic electron giving screen. *someone cracks a whip* Ha!!! Like that's gonna work!!! I don't wanna do my homework and a whip isn't gonna make me wanna do it. I be stubborn as hell. Yea.

Zippy came by today and brought down her playstation 2 and played Kingdom of Hearts in our room. I want that game, but I really want FFX so that I can beat it. AND I want Mortal Kombat. I loves that game. ^_^

Hmm I am wide awake. I wonder why? Could it be that I slept all day? Nah. That can't be it. *G*

*ambles away to pick the internet flowers* They be so bootiful.

OLE'S JOB INTERVIEW

A construction site boss was interviewing men for a job when along came
Ole Olson. The boss thought, "I'm not hiring that dummy!", so
he decided to set a test for Ole, hoping he wouldn't be able to answer
the questions, and he'd be able to refuse him the job without getting
into an argument.

The first question was, "Without using numbers, represent the number 9."
So Ole says, "Dat's easy!" and proceeds to draw three trees.
The boss says, "What the heck is that?"
Ole says, "Tree, and tree, and tree makes nine."
"Fair enough," says the boss. "Second question, same rules, but
represent 99."

Ole stares into space for a while, then makes a smudge on each tree.
"Der ya go, sir," he says.
The boss scratches his head and says, "How on earth do you get that to
represent 99?"
Ole says, "Each tree's dirty now! So it's dirty tree, and dirty tree,
and dirty tree, dats 99."

The boss is getting worried he's going to have to hire him, so he says,
"All right, question three. Same rules again, but represent the number
100."

Ole stares into space again, then he shouts, "Got It! He makes a little
mark at the base of each tree and says, Der ya go sir, 100."

"Go on Ole, you must be mad if you think that represents a hundred, says
the boss."
Ole leans forward and points to the marks at the tree bases and says, "A
little dog comes along and poops by each tree, so now you've got, dirty
tree and a turd, dirty tree and a turd, and dirty tree and a turd, which
makes one hundred. When do I start da job?"

The Dollar Bill

The Dollar Bill

If you have one, take out a one dollar bill and look at it. The one
dollar
bill you're looking at first came off the presses in 1957 in its present
design.
This so-called paper money is in fact a cotton and linen blend, with

red and blue minute silk fibers running through it. It is actually a
cloth
material.
We've all washed it without it falling apart. A special blend of ink

is used, the contents we will never know. It is overprinted with symbols
and then it is starched to make it water resistant and pressed to give it

that nice crisp look.
If you look on the front of the bill, you will see the United States

Treasury Seal. On the top you will see the scales for the balance-a
balanced budget. In the center you have a carpenter's T-square, a tool
used
for an even cut. Underneath is the Key to the United States Treasury.
That's all pretty easy to figure out, but what is on the back of that
dollar bill is something we should all know.
If you turn the bill over, you will see two circles. Both circles,
together, comprise the Great Seal of the United States. The First
Continental Congress requested that Benjamin Franklin and a group of men
come up with a Seal. It took them four years to accomplish this task and
another two years to get it approved.
If you look at the left hand circle, you will see a Pyramid. Notice
the face is lighted and the western side is dark. This country was just
beginning. We had not begun to explore the West or decided what we could
do
for Western Civilization. The Pyramid is uncapped, again signifying that
we
were not even close to being finished.
Inside the capstone you have the all-seeing eye, an ancient symbol
for
divinity. It was Franklin's belief that one man couldn't do it alone, but
a
group of men, with the help of God, could do anything. "IN GOD WE TRUST"
is
on this currency.
The Latin above the pyramid, ANNUIT COEPTIS, means "God has favored
our undertaking." The Latin below the pyramid, NOVUS ORDO SECLORUM, means

"a new order has begun."
At the base of the pyramid is the Roman Numeral MDCCLXXVI, for 1776.

If you look at the right-hand circle, and check it carefully, you will
learn that it is on every National Cemetery in the United States. It is
also on the Parade of Flags Walkway at the Bushnell, Florida National
Cemetery and is the centerpiece of most hero's monuments. Slightly
modified, it is the seal of the President of the United States and it is
always visible whenever he speaks, yet no one knows what the symbols
mean.
The Bald Eagle was selected as a symbol for victory for two reasons:

First, he is not afraid of a storm; he is strong and he is smart enough
to
soar above it. Secondly, he wears no material crown. We had just broken
from the King of England. Also, notice the shield is unsupported. This
country can now stand on its own.

At the top of that shield you have a white bar signifying congress,
a
unifying factor. We were coming together as one nation. In the Eagle's
beak
you will read, "E PLURIBUS UNUM," meaning "one nation from many people."
Above the Eagle you have thirteen stars representing the thirteen
original colonies, and any clouds of misunderstanding rolling away.
Again,
we were coming together as one. Notice what the Eagle holds in his
talons.
He holds an olive branch and arrows. This country wants peace, but we
will
never be afraid to fight to preserve peace. The Eagle always wants to
face
the olive branch, but in time of war, his gaze turns toward the arrows.
They say that the number 13 is an unlucky number. This is almost a
worldwide belief. You will usually never see a room numbered 13, or any
hotels or motels with a 13th floor. But, think about this: 13 original
colonies, 13 signers of the Declaration of Independence, 13 stripes on
our
flag, 13 steps on the Pyramid, 13 letters in the Latin above, 13 letters
in
"E Pluribus Unum", 13 stars above the Eagle, 13 plumes of feathers on
each
span of the Eagle's wing, 13 bars on that shield, 13 leaves on the olive
branch, 13 fruits, and if you look closely, 13 arrows. And for
minorities:
the 13th Amendment.
I always ask people, "Why don't you know this?" Your children don't
know this and their history teachers don't know this. Too many veterans
have given up too much to ever let the meaning fade. Many veterans
remember
coming home to an America that didn't care. Too many veterans never
came home at all.
Tell everyone what is on the back of the one dollar bill and what it

stands for, because nobody else will.
